Chase Scene



This is a chase scene we made in class this week. YouTube has not been working today so here is a link, click here to go to the video. We used the six shot system to chose the shots we took. We made a story board of the shots we wanted to take then ran around the school shooting scenes. My inspiration for this came from my friend in cross country who always stole my running gear. When it came together mine was a little long and had some of the same shots repeated. My class thought the ending was good and that there was no camera movement. The problem with camera movement it that there are only two of us in a group and we were both in the shots. I learned how to use the Final Cut Pro hardware and that you can work better in a group if you communicate everything. If  I got to do this project again I would make my shots shorter and make us run around less of the school. I would also try and make the acting less tacky. I would shoot the same story just make it more obvious what the story is. I will use this experience to help with my next project because I got to see how the same project can vary for different points of view and how to make a project stand out. I thin that overall I did well on this project and that I gained valuable knowledge of how to use Final Cut Pro especialy the short cut keys.

First Animation!

This is my first animation, a ball bouncing. It may not look like much, but there is one main component that you have to use. It is called squash and stretch. You make the ball elongate and get thiner to create the illusion of speed. When it hits the ground you make it squash to look like it hit something.

Bee Story Animation

Project Overview For the last couple weeks in animation I have been working on a story animation. First I had to make plot line and create a character for my story. I decided to make it about a bee who runs into the window of a flower shop while trying to get to the flowers inside. Next I had to create a storyboard to show how all my shots would go together. Then I had to create sketches of my character and scan them into the computer, the image to the side is my fist sketch of my bee once I scared it into the computer. Once I had the sketches into the computer I used photoshop to make them look cleaner and to add color. Next, I create most of the elements of the backgrounds in photoshop. I made the flowers in illustrator and moved into photoshop, there is an image of the flowers to the side.
